If you’re searching for it, you might be after a fantasy cricket app, a European TV streaming service, an Indonesian video platform or a casual mobile game. GoPlay11: the fantasy cricket app
In India, most “Goplay” searches are about GoPlay11 (also written GoPlay 11). Third-party sites describe it as a fantasy cricket app for Android, distributed as an APK file rather than through the Google Play Store. We couldn’t find a publicly named operating company for it. GoPlay in Belgium: a TV streaming service
GoPlay.be is the free, ad-supported streaming platform of the Belgian broadcaster Play Media. It carries shows from its Play-branded TV channels. It is listed on Google Play and the Apple App Store under the developer name Play Media and has nothing to do with cricket or fantasy sports.
GoPlay in Indonesia: a video-on-demand service
In 2019, the Indonesian technology company Gojek launched a video streaming service called GoPlay, which focused on local films and series. It’s a completely separate business from anything cricket-related.
“Goplay” apps on Google Play
The Play Store also has smaller apps using the name, including some with “goplay11” in their package IDs. When we checked, they included a cricket score and streaming-guide app and a casual slot-style game whose listing says it uses no real money. They’re listed under individual developers, and we found nothing linking them to the GoPlay11 fantasy platform.
Why the Goplay name causes confusion
A few things combine to muddy the waters:
- Short brand names are rarely unique. “Go” plus “Play” is an obvious combination for any entertainment product.
- Lookalike websites. Domains such as goplay11apk.net, goplaay11.com and gopay11apk.com all mention GoPlay11. We couldn’t confirm which, if any, belongs to the app’s developer.
- Keyword-stuffed store listings. Some apps add popular search terms to their descriptions to show up in more searches, even when they’re a different product.
- No verified official channel. Without a named company and a store listing, there’s no single source of truth for GoPlay11.
How to make sure you’ve found the right Goplay
- Check the developer name on the store listing and look it up separately.
- Read the description carefully. A streaming app, a slot game and a fantasy sports app are very different things.
- Look at the website’s legal pages for a company name, an address and a grievance contact.
- Be wary of “official” claims that come without proof.
- Don’t pay or deposit anything until you’re sure who you’re dealing with.
